Cold fusion 2nd july at the corn exchange cambridge

A much anticipated event on the Cambridge map as the corn exchange a disused venue for nearly a decade was to come back to life on the rave scene and to take it by storm. The line up was second to none with a selection of turntable prodigies and lyricists in the scene to grace cold fusion

Got to the venue at about 10 to be intrigued by an impressive production.
There were cold fusion banners draped from the ceiling with a heavy sound system. DJ perfection form Norwich warmed the night up alongside Mc hunter d. Perfection had an upfront selection. Hunter was a good host as he warmed the night.

Lurking within the shadows was the Shadow warrior Bassman alongside the Juiceman. DJ Randal took control on the wheels of steel. Although this was advertised an old skool jungle set. It was actually an upfront set.. He had a heavy artillery of dubs like ‘slam’,‘back for lone’, and many killers rippin up the scene. Bass and juice were well coordinated with their shadow styles.

Introducing the next DJ was Baron representing breakbeat kaos. He set the pace with a tuff set that took the ravers in to a frenzy. This set was introduced by hunter to greet the arrival of mc fun. Barons fierce selection was complimented well by the funster with a wicked flow.

Went in the upstairs locked on in arena with the finest taslent from Norwich and Cambridge the likes of DJ surreal and Jonny kash took control when I arrived. Five o and snake eyes played a set later in the night,

Back in the main arena was the sounds of the moghty grooverider alongside the main men behind cold fusion motor mouth and flux. The main arena was ram jam and vibseing at this point. Grooverder is never afraid to pull out the goods with a range of dubs from pendulum, fresh and Dillinja. Motormouth and flux were a heavy combo over the upfront selection of the rider.

Bryan G was up next with a selection across the spectrum like liquid, jump up and darkside. The notorious taranchilla tune was rinsed alongside tunes from logistics and commix from the liquid side of things. Bassman and juice intervened again with combos. There was some heavy appearance from the palmer who was sick.

Mampi swift continued the journey through cold fusion alongside the organizer ic3.main man motormouth also took centre stage to blaze it down alongside ic3. Mampi renowned the double drop king lived to his name with a variety of technical mixing with tunes like the ‘one’,‘rebirth’, ‘slam’ and ‘back for love’

The grave yard shift went to the executioner Andy C with none other then MC skibadee. As it approached the 6 o clock hour this ended the night off on a very night and a legendary first cold fusion. Watch this space for the next one.
