Fizzy Wednesday 16th August @ Marsque Bar Kings Cross London

Fizzy Wednesday (www.fizzyliquid.com) @Marsque Bar, Kings Cross.

We arrived at the Marsque Bar to catch the end of Dimensions set
he was playing some heavy garage/grime anthems
to get people warmed up for the night which was going down well.

Following Dimensions at 11.00 was Izzy who played a nice varied selection of D&B
starting off with some liquid rollers finishing of with some jump-up tunes
to which the crowd was definitely starting to warm up.

Up next was arguably the 'act' of the night and certainly something
new to Fizzy - 'The Farmers'.
These were a three person live drum and bass band
who literally blew the roof off with vibes
and considering it was there first performance out was great to see.

There was a live drummer and a pianist combined with the vocal talents
MC DVS to which the crowd reacted very well.
The Farmers seamlessly blended many musical styles
such as Bashment, Breaks, Grime, Dubstep
and of course D&B all into one high energy performance.

Up next was myself Caspar and I played a varied set of tunes
starting with some brand new liquid ones
from the likes of Alix Perez, Sabre and Electrosoul System.
I gradually brought in some heavier tunes from the likes of Logistics
Break and D Bridge to get the crowd going.

For my set I was accompanied by MC Deefa, MC V Double E
and also DVS who kindly stayed on slightly longer
after his set with the farmers.

Finally it was time for Mr Joseph to step up on the decks
for the last set of the night to which he was helped out by
Dimensions who threw down some heavy - Ragga influenced jump-up.

Both DJ's then proceeded to cover a mixture of styles
with some heavy new dubs fresh out the studio
from Mr Joseph himself.

All in all a great night was had by everyone in attendance
and once again the music was diverse
and the atmosphere was that of friendly vibes.

Massive shouts to everyone who reached
and hope to see you all down Fizzy again at the end of the month

special mention to Mogmog on his birthday too!
