Random concept review
10th November
club air

This is a night I call xtreme heavy bassline – what drum and bass should always be!
But if we always went to a valve night I think we would all be needing hearing aid for Christmas!
The line up for this night was :
Dangerous D – Magika 10-11pm
Nicky Blackmarket – Eksman and Presha 11-12am
Friction – Ecksman and Fearless 12-12:45am
Andy C – Shabba and Fearless 12:45-1:45am
Garry K – Presha, Rhymes, Biggie 1:45-2:30am
Brockie – Bassman, Spyda and Trigga 2:30-3:30am
Groove Rider – Darisson and Spyda 3:30-4:15am
Dillinja and Lemon D – Biggie and Bassman 4:15-5am
Mampi Swift – IC3 5-6am

Well upon arrival of waliking into Club Air (10:30pm) the mighty valve system was at work! Pure vibrating sounds all around, you could not escape the bass!

Dangerous D was playing some up to date tunes with a few potential bad boy tunes/trueplayaz. Magika was hosting this set along side Presha.

11`oclock and its time for some Nicky pussy clot Blackmarket!
Just as more and more people start rolling in it was rocking already! As soon as Ecksman appeared it was blazing and took the early ravers by storm! Blackmarket played some rollers which got the rewind many times! A few tunes I heard from this mix was Dark soilder which for its time kicked out some heavy bass from the Valve speakers! Number 1 really did hurt my ears but made the crowd go wild! Semi automatic Blap Blap! Excellent show from the Blackmarket got the vibe up ready for the next DJ who knows how to rinse it proper!

12 oclock and its time for Friction and at this point the place is packed, rammed, steaming you know the score! As the Friction got started Fearless launched his lyrics on the mic! “Boom Boom..... Boom selecta!” It was getting better and better!
But no, it got better Shabba landed in and the bass kept rolling and I tell you this event was heavy!!!!!
Friction played some heavy tunes some of which were Planet Dust, the Nine, back to your roots rmx and Ska rmx. Friction had some tight fast jump up switches just right for the fast-talking MCs! The crowd was looking lively and ready for the one and only executioner ....ANDY C!!!!!!!!!!!

12:45 It was now time to all stop look and pray for the mighty Andy C who rolled in with his lovely vinyl, which we all bless!
Andy drops the beat and the bass is rumbling so loud I cant even stand still! Fearless was going crazy getting the crowd hyped, but about 30 mins later it got a bit dark and dotty Bassman and Biggie arrived and Andy played a few old tunes amen style! Making it a little bit darka!
Andy played so many tunes and his mixing was just the best!
If they made a dnb computer game about mixing Andy C would be the grandmaster and you would never beat him! Grade A mixing! He must be robot!
Whilst Andy and the MCs where tearing the place down some hot dancers arrived flexing and jigging to the beats!
What a wicked hour!

1:45 From this point the night was at its fullest and everyone was in club air! Literally! The system was pumping! Garry K jumped on and carried on the heavy weight bass with dirty sub and dotty beats wiv electric sounds! It was Bassmans turn to go crazy and he showed his home town some shadow boxing techniques dark as you like! Ravers were saluting Garry and Bassman bigging up Birmingham 100%! Nice mix and smooth blend!

2:30 There was no sign of Brockie so Dangerous D took over and played another set making it dark and neat as Darison arrived singing some nice vocals for the ladies with Biggie blasting some Leister style lyrics. The crowd were sweating but nuff smiles and happy faces!

3:30 It was time for the crowd to hear a old ledgend mix that’s right it was time for the great Groove Rider! Who came a bit light handed. Was it a vinyl box, was it CD box.....no it was his laptop! The rider mixed up some new flavours and showed Birmingham some heavy bass! Trigga and Spyda join Bassman! “The boys are back in town”. Some quarter pounder bass and some Robin hood lyrics with some higher higher hooo Trigga lyrics! The crowd felt it! It was pure vibes! Dotta Darker! The dancers were still shaking their booty and I think the crowd were drooling slightly!

4:15 The Valve Sytem has been utalised but this was the hour 2 DJs play their heavy weight tunes which blew the hats off people hats, blew whistle out of ravers mouths and the clubs roof! It was gutt wrenching time to get grimey! Dillinja and Lemon D mixing with a few switches! Bassman, Trigga and Spyda still battling on the mic, rrrrrrroooollllzzzzz oh gosh! Some guest MCs appered on stage and I have to say they were good and defiantly got the crowd lively.

5:00 System check..........bass still very f*@%ing loud! Mampi had the last laugh! And IC3 was bubbling up the vocals! Mampi double dropping fat tunes on the last hour, I think everyone wanted this night to never end!
Full package! Mampi dropped a few subfocus tunes with his very own creations!

This was a night that shall never be forgot! Party session all the way!
The Valve showed no mercy all night and lived up to its name!
I highly recomend going to Random Concept! I hope to see a night like this again!

The layout of the club was nice and has a big balcony with stairs. Perfect view of seeing how the DJs mix!
Bars down stairs upstairs and the up and coming DJs and MCs were upstairs in the oxygen room, which had a constant crowd and seemed to have a lighter vibe than downstairs.
The main arena had stages around the out sides and back. Laser and lights were electrifying just what the doctor ordered!
Big up Garry K! Truly wicked night! 10/10
