FizzyFriday 2nd March 2007
Once again, another ram jam, bubbling Fizzy session at the Oh Bar!
Massive respect to all the ravers who touched down and experienced
the exception vibes that you only really get at a FizzyLiquid night! The
good-time, hardcore party attitude of the ladies and gents in the place
nearly tour the roof off during the evening’s entertainment and we at
FizzyLiquid would like to thank each and every one of you!!

The night started off with Fizzy’s own DJ Izzy playing the 8-10 warmup session!
Izzy’s old school garage and breakbeat selection motivated the increasing numbers
of people inside into some serious head nodding and foot tapping, which in turn inspired
the first of the dance floor massive. With wicked tunes mixed nice and smoothly
Izzy definitely got the party started!
By ten o’clock it was time for another FizzyFriday resident to take the driving seat
behind the decks as DJ Caspar started the DnB. Caspar’s combination of rolling
basslines and deep, soulful drum and bass moving into some slightly heavier
more jump up style numbers really took the growing crew of people on a musical
journey and the reaction of the ravers was to pack the floor, especially when MC Cliché
joined the action on the stage towards the end of the set.

Cliché worked the crowd up into a frenze with intelligent lyrics and commanding stage
presence as our first guest of the evening, Jordan V, donned the wheels of steel.
Jordan’s upfront, bouncy choice of tunes got the whole place bumping and really
set the standard for rest of the night in terms of sheer hype!
Next was the turn of, in MC Keeno’s own words, ‘The FizzyLiquid CEO, Mr Joseph’
who came with some hard-hitting jump up from the get go and fuelled the people
who were skankin into overdrive. The combination of Mr J’s jump up collection and
Keeno’s double time flows began a mass exodus as the peeps at the back, chilling
out on the sofas, stirred and moved towards the front for a good old boogie!
Kool FM’s Funky Flirt headlined from 1 till 2 alongside Fizzy resident Deefa and
Fully Loaded’s Riddla providing the skills on the mic. Flirt’s trademark quick time
mixing and heavy selection coupled with Riddla’s phenomenal crowd hyping skills
enthused the crowd with a passion for some good old fashioned shacking out and
really took the dance to the next level!

After Flirt came Dimensions, who absolutely smashed up the place with impeccable
tune selection ranging from old to new and seamless mixing. With Riddla and Deefa
still holding up the mic the crowd went nuts and forced the rewind on several occasions
by screaming, blowing horns and whistles and near
enough raising the entire roof with the noise!
The events conclusion came when BlackMarket Records’ Ash-a-tak and Fizzy’s resident
female vocalist V-double-E eased it down with a sweet sounding rolling set which captivated
the massive who still had some stamina and provided the perfect end
for such an absolutely off the chain night!"
thanks to Deefa for the review
big ups to Casper & the whole Fizzy Family |
