DJ Chance interviews Dub Alley

Firstly guys thanks for  taking  the time out to do this question and answer session

More than welcome, cheers for having us on PlanetDnB

To start i think the peeps would like to know how you two know each other?

-    We met mid 2005
-    We were  both residents for weekly night we ran called Ebb'n'Flow
-    Started DubAlley March 06’
-    Known each other thru Perth DnB scene

So with dub ally over a year old now. at what point did you get your brake and how quick
was the transition from just making dubs to getting them cut?

-    Broke thru onto the worldwide scene 06
-    Basically Low Down Deep and Deadly Recs at the same time
-    Later in 06’ found by Roly @ Second City Recs
-    Both produced for different periods prior to Dub Alley
-    Started doing tune together and within 4 months (Approx) interest and then signed.

Have you got a big following in Oz?

-   Jump up is def not the biggest followed DnB  genre in Oz( More Tek, Liquid & Ram type Stuff).
We have pushed the sound hard since we both started Dub Alley and its now helping fill dance
floors across Perth and we hope now the world .
" We're Flying the flag proudly for the Oz Jump Up kru!"
-   Our following is growing all the time by both new and Old Skool DnB fans

With the success Jungle Bizniss and with the VIP on its way have you guys got any new stuff brewing?

-    Jungle Bizness VIP / SixFour on Deadly  - OUT NOW!
-    Spiderman RMX / Limo Ride on Max Ammo -  Later in the year
-    Wine Stained Bappers / Got Mad on Wild West Recordings - September
-    Down Under EP on Second City - Later in the year

Who has been your biggest influence in the game and how have they inspired you?

-     Hazard, GDub, Hype, Mampi, Zinc,Twisted,Vital Elements,Zen ,TC
-     New producers such as Mutated Forms, Callide, Optimist, Sub Wave,
-     Everyone that has supported us and pushed us to make bigger and better tunes

As we know dub alley is just over 1 year old now' were do you guys see ya selfs in 2 years?

-    Running 2 labels (Wild West & Runamuk) pushing all the sounds of DnB
-    Touring the world, Testing out many of the mental systems we hear about
-    Pushing our sound as far as we can go
-    Enjoying life!!

Cd's or Viynl?

 -    Being from Oz:  Not much opportunity to get dubs pressed as much as we would like
So Cd’s for dubs, Vinyl for promo’s and full release tracks But in a perfect world Vinyl for sure!

When can the uk expect a visit from the crazy wobble boys from Oz?

-    Hopefully 08’ some time (note to UK promoters heheh!!)We have had some interest from
US promoters as well ,so we would love to get there sometime in the near future

Do you have any advise for peeps who want to Producing tracks?

-    Always keep ya ears open for new samples and sounds!  Never stop doing it, some people
get  it quicker than others. Try to learn new studio techniques each and every time and keep
     your ideas fresh !

Last but not least is there any one you guys wanna big up?

-   Deadly P @ Deadly Recs, Roly @ Second City Recs, All the kru @ Max Ammo, Carlee
Emma +    Jaydan . Loaded Dice kru, Forces of Nature kru, Inhibit kru, Load Media.
-    All the people who come out and have a good time and keep the party vibe happening
-    Everyone that supports the music
-    Worldwide DnB scene.
