Missrepresent started dj-ing in Spring 2001, sponsored by her Company for dj equipment, quickly progressing to play in pubs and small venues around Gloucester, Cheltenham and Bristol.
By the end of 2001 after being picked up by local pirate station listeners, she quicly progressed to Jo Jo's in Stroud, attaining a reisdency with Motivation, local promoters, and guest spots on Gloucesters local radio GFM. Finding her feet, by summer of 2002, Missrepresent was putting on small local nights, and getting involved with promoters pushing events forward, and getting a resideny set up in Devon with Chemical-Element.
Autumn 2002 for her was the kickstart to proffessial Drum and Bass dj-ing, getting sets at Brunel Rooms in Swindon, with Revoloution promotiing the 2000 capacity club.
Chemical Records picked her up as a resident on rotation at Club Enigma, and by Chrsitmas was being asked to play in clubs like Park
Lane in Oxford, Lakota in Bristol and The Grove in Seaton and Fish and Fiddle in Cheltenham.
January 2003 Missrepresent started her weekly drum and bass show on
www.worldwidedrumandbass.com, and getting her website up and running.
Febuary again was asked back to play at Brunel Rooms, these line ups consisting of Dj's such J majic, Mampi Swift, Kenny ken, Nicky Blackmarket, Zinc, Micky Finn, Adam F etc, and learning to play to larger audiences, gaining experience where she was awarded a place through sending a demo in
to Movement and Drive By's Dj Finals at Bristol academy.
Contiuing to get sets in Plymouth's club Legends, getting guest spots on other internet shows based in London such as Uk Rumble, and doing her residences, she was still planning her next event in Gloucester, struggling to find venues to host dnb parties at in her home town, but in April pulled
it off, played alongside Dj dazee and Mulder in Bristol, Ratty in Devon and was re-booked the 3rd time at Brunels alongside I Kamanchi, Andy C, Nicky Blackmarket, Skibbadee and Shabba D.
By May she had been invited to Dj In Poland, her 1st international event, flying across to Warsaw to play with Polands Izotoxin Crew and hitting Polands MTV. Coming home she played at The Corn Hall in Cirencester for Incision, and was helping put for local projects doing voluntary dj classes, and visiting comprehensive schools involving herself in communties relating drum and bass to her life.
Summer 2003 was pretty hectic, trying to juggle dj-ing and normal life, playing back at Enigma with Micky Finn and Skibbadee, hitting Naughty But Nice at Herefords Crystal Rooms with Dj Flight and continuing to Promote a
new venue in Gloucester at The Black Cat, whilst still doing her residences and getting down to London for her radio show, Missrepresent has been invited for the second year running to GFM, and has a host of sets alined in London and abroad for the future, such as Hexion in London and Revoloution
B2B Best Of British in September.
